 Dr. Mike Langran is the ski patrol doctor at CairnGorm Mountain in the Scottish Highlands & a GP (family doctor) at the Aviemore Medical Practice - the only general practice in the UK that treats significant numbers of acute snow sports injuries. Mike is also Director of the Scottish Snow Sports Safety Study and both Board member and UK National Secretary of the International Society for Skiing Safety (ISSS). As well as numerous invited lectures and research presentations both in the UK and abroad, Mike has published many articles on snow sports safety in the medical and lay press - including The Times, Sunday Times, Scotland on Sunday and more.

Dr. Mike has also appeared on the BBC, ITV and has been a reluctant star in the Grampian Television fly-on-the-wall series "Medics of the Glen" in his role as a ski patrol doctor. As a result of his research and work in the field, Mike is regarded by his peers as the UK's leading authority on snow sports injuries and their prevention.
